Richard (Dick) Edward Izzard, age 88, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2025 at home with his family by his side. He was born June 9, 1936 in Columbus, Ohio.
Dick is survived by his devoted wife of 66 years, Betty L. (Trout), loving children, Mark (Tabatha) Izzard, Doug (Tiffany) Izzard, and Tami (Russ) Hagerty. His cherished grandchildren include Tyler (Jess) Izzard, Kayleigh (Adam) Rice, Brittany Roberts, Maddison (Fiancé, Mitchell Jones), Taylor, Kennady, Jackson Izzard, and Isabella Brown. Also, blessed with great grandchildren Briggs and Emilia Izzard, Stark and Penelope Rice.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Beulah Izzard and brother, Jerry Izzard.
Dick was a graduate of West High School in Columbus, Ohio. After high school, Dick joined the United States Navy where he learned how to operate a printing press on the USS Forrestal. His printing press skills led him to the career in which he retired as director of THE Ohio State University's Printing Facility. Af
