It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Deborah Lynn (Schmittauer) Carter, a cherished mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, who left us on March 25, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on August 5, 1956, to John "Jack" and Catherine Schmittauer, Debbie lived a life filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories.
A proud graduate of London High School in 1974, she dedicated over 30 years of her life to St. John's Lutheran Church, where her warmth and compassion deeply touched the community. Debbie found joy in the simplest pleasures, whether it was cooking her family's favorite dishes or delighting in cooking shows. Her heart resonated with love for her family, and she treasured each moment spent with her grandchildren, traveling to countless baseball games and creating memories that will forever be etched in their hearts.
